AWA is an all-volunteer, registered charity. We rescue strays and find good homes for them. We do not euthanize healthy, adoptable animals. Cats are treated by a vet for any health problems; vaccinated, spayed/neutered and boarded or placed in foster care until adopted. We do not have our own shelter or receive any funding and our $150 adoption fee covers only a fraction of our costs. Fund-raising and donations must cover the balance. Our website features photos and information about the cats and kittens available for adoption, plus success stories, letters page, fund-raising and donation information.
